Words Beyond Time-Space?
Gabriel's Words to Muhammad
Event No. 6

Foretold Event: Muhammad is the last prophet

When Foretold: 653 CE

When Fulfilled: Has not been fulfilled

Time passed from prophecy to fulfillment: Has not been fulfilled

Can We Confirm it?: Yes

Gabriel's words to Muhammad foretell that Muhammad is the last prophet. Muslims believe this to be a true based on Surah 33:40.

"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things" (Surah 33:40).

Although this is a belief in the strictest sense of the matter, it is also a foretold event. How can we evaluate it? The only way to evaluate this prophecy is by analysis alone.

Does this foretold event meet the seven Einstein Method Guidelines? On the left side of the web page, six (6) items read "YES" and one (1) item reads "NO". Place your mouse over the item to view the graphic window in the upper left corner or click to learn more with a quick pop-up file.

Is Muhammad the Last Prophet?

Two prophets (Daniel the prophet and Muhammad, the prophet of Islam) claim to have received words from the Archangel Gabriel. At this time, we have enough data to compare them using math based tools (the Chi-square test for Independence / Analysis of Variance). Using math brings clarity into finding out if Muhammad received words from outside time-space.

I have included three approaches to finding out if "Muhammad is the last prophet." Three methods permit a wider view of Muhammad and reduce the possibility of error.

To use a math based tool for comparing Muhammad to Daniel or comparing Muhammad to Jesus has one essential requirement. To compare them requires a common term or item that can be clearly distinguished. I will use the phrase "What is Common" under each section.

Method 1: Time Length to Foretold Event
(Compares Gabriel's words to Daniel vs Gabriel's words to Muhammad)

What is Common?
(1) Gabriel Spoke Words to Muhammad and to Daniel
(2) Length of Time to Fulfill the Prophecy

For Gabriel's words to Daniel, we have six prophecies that were fulfilled 195 to 235 years after the original date of 165 BCE (well after the time the author died). The analysis done on Daniel's prophecies supports that Daniel received words from outside time-space at the 98.5% confidence level. Since Muhammad claimed to receive words from the same Archangel named Gabriel, it is valid to compare Daniel to Muhammad.

For Gabriel's words to Muhammad, We have four valid prophecies (numbers 1 through 4) in the Qur'an as follows:

  1. Triumph of the Byzantines over the Persians (Click here to review)
  2. Jewish people will not unite to fight Muslim military forces since they are devoid of wisdom (Click here to review)
  3. The Jewish people are Cursed in this world and the next, meaning from the 7th century and forevermore (Click here to review)
  4. Muhammad Dreams of Worshipping in Mecca (Click here to review)

Since the "official" Qur'an was published in 653 CE, two of the prophecies (items 1 & 4 above) were fulfilled before the "official" Qur'an was published in 653 CE. The best case possible for Muhammad foretelling the future are his oral prophecies. To make the best case comparison, let's assume that Muhammad's oral prophecies were given as believed by Muslims at earlier dates.

Even if Muhammad's oral prophecies (best case) are accepted as valid, Muhammad does not appear to be a prophet. Using math tools supports that Gabriel's words to Daniel foretold the future (at the 99.999% confidence level) compared to Muhammad, who cannot foretell the future. Refer to the quick pop-up entitled "Muhammad's Oral Prophecies" just below on the right for the analysis.

Is it acceptable to compare the amount of time between the publish date and the foretold event?

The answer is a definite yes. A false prophet will not foresee distant future events. A true prophet will consistently foresee distant future events. Therefore, the mathematical tool will infer truth about the issue of prophet hood.

Method 2: Einstein Method Guidelines
(Compares Gabriel's words to Daniel vs Gabriel's words to Muhammad)

What is Common?
(1) Gabriel Spoke Words to Muhammad and to Daniel
(2) Einstein Method Guidelines

Since Muhammad does not appear to be a credible prophet using the time length approach (Method 1), let's use a different approach. To make the comparison valid, let's review the purpose of the Einstein Method as follows:

The Einstein Method

Seeks to find religions that claim to foretell the future and also make the claim to have received their message from outside time-space (from God).

After finding these types of messages, they can be analyzed using available evidence and mathematical tools to determine the likelihood that the words actually come from outside time-space. Seven guidelines must be met to ensure the message does come from outside time-space.

Using the seven guidelines appears to be a valid method for comparing Gabriel's words to Muhammad and to Daniel. A true prophet will have no issues whatsoever with the seven guidelines. However, a false prophet will have problems. To make this comparison using a math based tool, we need an acceptable viewpoint (hypothesis). Then the data can be analyzed based on that viewpoint.

Let's formulate a viewpoint based on the Einstein Method guidelines. We simply state that "A true prophet meets the seven Einstein Method guidelines." Having made that statement as our viewpoint (hypothesis), some calculations are done. This will tell us whether we should have confidence that Muhammad is a true or false prophet compared to Daniel.

Method 2 concludes that Muhammad does not meet the Einstein Method guidelines related to foretelling future events (at the 94% confidence level). In comparison, the same method applied to Daniel confirms the hypothesis that Gabriel's words to Daniel do meet the Einstein Method guidelines related to foretelling the future.

For those wanting to review the math, the calculations are done in the pop-up window to the right.

Method 3: Prophecies about the Jewish People
(Compares Jesus' words vs Gabriel's words to Muhammad)

What is Common?
(1) The Jewish People
> x xMuhammad: Jewish People (Divided)
> x xJesus: Jewish People will be (United)
(2) Length of Time to Fulfill the Prophecy

Based on Method 1 and 2 above, Muhammad does not appear to be a credible prophet. To make the comparison even more valid, let's bring the evidence of the 20th century into the question of Muhammad being a true prophet. Was Muhammad correct about the Jewish people? Or was Jesus correct in foretelling about the Jewish people?

Muhammad cursed the Jewish people and proclaimed they would not unite against Muslim military forces. Muhammad viewed the Jewish people as being devoid of wisdom and that they are cursed from the 7th century and forevermore. These negative viewpoints of the Jewish people were meant to be forever. In general, Muslim fundamentalists support the Qur'an in cursing the Jewish people. Muslim author Q. I. Hingora wrote, "The Prophecies of the Qur'an," in 1963, which calls out numerous verses from the Qur'an used to curse or give negative views of the Jewish people. I have listed only two of Muhammad's prophecies about the Jewish people from the Qur'an below for your review.

  1. Jewish people will not unite to fight Muslim military forces since they are devoid of wisdom. (Click here to review)
  2. The Jewish people are Cursed in this world and the next, meaning from the 7th century and forevermore. (Click here to review)

In contrast to Muhammad, Jesus foretold that the Jewish people would be dispersed worldwide beginning with the destruction of Jerusalem that occurred in 70 CE. Just as important, Jesus foretold that the Jewish people would return to their homeland. Very specifically, Jesus foretold that the Jewish people would unite and govern Jerusalem again, which was literally fulfilled on June 7, 1967. Jesus' prophecies about the Jewish people are listed below for your review.

  1. Jewish people will be dispersed worldwide (Click here to review)
  2. The Jewish people would return and govern Jerusalem again (Click here to review)

Who was correct?

It is obvious that Jesus was correct. Just as important, it is obvious that Muhammad could not foresee the distant future for the Jewish people.

Refer to the quick pop-up entitled "Future of the Jewish People" to the right for the analysis. In addition, you can review ."Credibility of the Analysis" about the use of limited data and why it is credible.

Math Based Conclusion

Using math tools to compare Jesus to Muhammad, an immense difference is seen.

  1. Jesus correctly foretells the future of the Jewish people uniting and governing Jerusalem again (at the 99.95% confidence level).
  2. Muhammad's prophecies about the Jewish people have obviously failed in the 20th century.

Conclusions

Based on analysis using three methods, Muhammad does not appear to even be a prophet. The math based tools permit this conclusion at a high confidence level.

In contrast, Jesus' words have consistently come true, which meets the Einstein Method guidelines. To review these conclusions, click here. The return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the technological environment of the 21st century support these conclusions. Since Jesus' prophecies are consistently coming true, it would appear to be a good idea to read what Jesus is saying.
